Dr. Glenn Coltharp Southwest Center Educational Scholarship Awardees
The Southwest Center, in recognition of Dr. Glenn Coltharp, his service to the Southwest Center, public education and higher education, awarded three $500 scholarships to Seniors of our member school districts who wish to pursue a degree in education. Dr. Coltharp shares a dedication to the field of education that is above the call of service and believes teaching is the profession that supports all other professions. Recognizing education is in a crisis finding teachers, applications were sent to our 41 member school districts and all Seniors who desire to enter into the field of education were encouraged to apply. Applications were then evaluated by a panel of judges and three area awardees were selected. Congratulations and scholarships were awarded to: Bailey Danner, Diamond - Alyssa Hill, Miller - and Landry Cochran, Carthage.
