Dr. Sandra Cantwell
Dr. Sandra Cantwell joined the Southwest Center as an Educational Consultant after spending thirty years in Neosho and Joplin Schools as a paraprofessional, teacher, special education process coordinator, assistant principal, special education director, and executive director of student services. Sandra was the Gold Star Teacher of the Year in 2000, the Southwest Missouri Assistant Principal of the Year in 2014, and Missouri’s Assistant Principal of the Year in 2015. She is very excited about being a part of the Southwest Center team and the opportunity to support educators through professional learning.

- When Sandra isn't working, she loves spending time with family, helping in her church, gardening, and hiking.
- Sandra is proud of climbing to the top of the prominent Gray’s Peak in Colorado, a 14,278-foot "fourteener", which is the highest point on the Continental Divide.
