Dr. Jan VanGilder began her teaching career in 1970. After five years in the elementary classroom she moved to the role of a counselor for 12 years and then finished 18 years as the Lamar Elementary Principal. She joined the Southwest Center three hours after "retirement" in 2003. Jan has 50+ years in education and she has no intention of slowing down! She serves as an Educational Consultant and is passionate about education and doing all we can to help our teachers and make learning the best for our students.
